Duration:
A tandem paragliding flight from the Gerlitzen takes at least 20 minutes. If the thermal conditions are good, you'll go up first with an updraft, which can extend the flight to 30-40 minutes. The entire experience, including a comfortable ascent with the gondola and preparation for the start, takes about 1.5 hours.
Location:
The Gerlitzen, in the center of Carinthia, is a hotspot for paragliders (and model pilots) due to the special, mostly year-round good thermals. The starting points are in the immediate vicinity of the mountain station of the Gerlitzen-Gipfelbahn, so the ascent is quick and easy with the gondola - Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn and Gipfelbahn (free with the Kärnten Card).
