The South Styrian wine region begins just 15 km from the provincial capital of Graz and stretches all the way to the Slovenian border. It is not without good reason that southern Styria is also known as Styrian Tuscany. The gently undulating landscape with its many vineyards and small wooded areas is one of the most beautiful spots in Central Europe.
After taking off from Graz Airport, we fly along the left bank of the Mur towards Leibnitz. After crossing the river, we head for the lovely villages of Gamlitz and Leutschach. The rest of the flight takes us past Kitzeck im Sausal and St. Nikolai, back to our starting point at the airport in the provincial capital of Graz.
